Military personnel from the Brazilian Army participate in the II Specialized Conference of Cycle XXXV of the Conference of American Armies (CAA), from July 18th to 22nd, in the city of San Antonio, Texas. The theme of the conference, Interoperability and Strategic Planning, is discussed by representatives from 15 countries.

The conference is an event of CAA Cycle XXXV, hosted by Brazil in the biennium 2022-2023. This is the fourth time in history that the Brazilian Army chairs the CAA. The Brazilian delegation is headed by the CAA Secretary General, Division General Paulo Roberto Rodrigues Pimentel, representing the Brazilian Army Commander and President of the Conference.

The Commander of the United States Army South (US Army South), Major General William L. Thigpen, opened the event. The Sub-Commander of the Army South, Brigadier General Lynn M. Heng, will lead the work during the week.

Also participating are military personnel from the Permanent Executive Secretariat of the Conference of American Armies and a representative from the 7th Army General Staff.
