On June 22, the 2nd Railway Battalion, through the Engineering Training Center, concluded the Operational Evaluation of Plastex M BR, an explosive developed by IMBEL and manufactured from Nitropenta (PETN), with plasticizer, which has a superior relative effect to the highly moldable Trinitrotoluene (TNT).
IMBEL supplied molds for making directed charges with Plastex M BR, which were effective in neutralizing ammunition and perforating metal plates.
Besides the Instructors from the 2nd Railway Battalion’s Engineering Instruction Center, the Battalion’s divers also participated in the activities, executing the Diving Test Plan, an activity required for the maintenance of their qualifications.
