Estela da Silva Tavares, an Aspirant in the Army Materiel Corps, joined the 4th Logistics Battalion. Born in Rio de Janeiro, she joined the EsPCEx in 2018, and was declared an Asp Officer on 26 Nov 22, making up the second class of Brazilian women to be trained for combat by the Army.

Her vocation for the military career was born from observing the school maneuvers of the Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras (Black Needles Military Academy) near her residence in the municipality of Itatiaia.
