Brasília (DF) – On March 1st, a face-to-face and virtual meeting of the Inter-forces Working Group (GT) of the Ministry of Defense Cyber Sector 2023 took place. Officials from the Brazilian Navy (MB), Brazilian Army (EB) and Brazilian Air Force (FAB), and representatives from the Ministry of Defense (MD) attended the event.
The goal of the Interforces WG was to coordinate the sector’s activities in a joint and synergetic environment. Current themes of the cyber sector, related programs and cyber events of the current year were presented and discussed.
The meeting was chaired by the Cyber Defense Commander, Division General Heber Garcia Portella, who highlighted, through data, the progress and importance that the cyber sector has for the Armed Forces. The Cyber Defense Command is a permanently activated Joint Operational Command, subordinated to the EB’s regimental structure, and its staff includes military personnel from the three forces.
