Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – From July 3 to 7, the Eastern Military Command (CML, per its Portuguese acronym) continued the preparation activities of its troops that make up the Army Readiness System. On that occasion, Task Force (FT) SUEZ, the Readiness Force (FORPRON) of the School Units Group – 9th Motorized Infantry Brigade (GUEs-9th Bda Inf Mtz), participated in Operation Black Tartarus.

During the campaign exercise, held at the Gericinó Training Camp, tactical missions of the Land Military Doctrine were planned and executed, within the framework of External Defense (war situation), involving the participation of almost a thousand military personnel and more than 40 vehicles.

FT SUEZ is a troop of the GUEs-9th Bda Inf Mtz, part of the 1st Army Division, which makes up the Brazilian Army’s Readiness System, bringing together, under a single command, all the different combat, combat support and logistical support fractions of the Brigade’s 11 military organizations, as well as an Engineering platoon from the 1st Combat Engineering Battalion School, belonging to the 5th Engineering Group.

In the course of the training, actions pertinent to offensive operations were carried out: marching to combat, opening gaps, coordinated attack, fire support, command and control, in addition to the resulting logistical activities.
