Members of the State Councils of Public Security, the Military Police, Civil Police, CORE and BOPE of the 27 federative units will discuss the main agendas of the sector during the International COP.
The largest Public Security event in Latin America, COP International, will bring together the main leaders in the area to discuss essential guidelines for national public security. The event, to be held between October 25 and 27, at the São Paulo Expo, confirms the presence of the main authorities and leaders of the 26 States and the Federal District, as well as entourages of public security professionals from all over the country. The Congress promises to be a milestone in the search for effective and collaborative solutions to the challenges faced in the country.
In addition to the various lectures given by authorities and references in the field and a trade fair that brings together companies from the military, tactical, outdoor, technological and intelligence sectors, within the COP International program is confirmed the holding of meetings of the councils and committees that govern national public security, such as:
- Meeting of State Public Security Secretaries – CONSESP;
- Meeting of the General Commanders of the Military Police – CNCG;
- Meeting of Civil Police Chiefs – CONCPC;
- Meeting of Special Police Operations Coordinating Delegates – CNCOPE;
- Meeting of BOPE Commanders.
The event will also host the 1st SENACOLI – National Seminar on Government Procurement and Bidding and the National Meeting of the Defense and Security Industry (ENIDS), organized by the Brazilian Association of Controlled Products (APCE).
One of the highlights of COP International will be the creation of the Special Police Operations Battalion Council. For the first time, BOPE commanders from all over the country will come together to found their Council, with the aim of strengthening and improving the actions of the elite in facing critical situations.
“At COP International, we will have the opportunity to discuss public security from the perspective of financial damage to organized crime. In São Paulo, the integration between the police has resulted in a stifling of drug trafficking, which represents an impact on the reduction of several criminal indices. My expectation is that we will make great progress in this discussion during the event,” says Guilherme Derrite, Secretary of Public Security of São Paulo.
The event will also feature a VIP area, where authorities will circulate and have the chance to exchange ideas and experiences, strengthening partnerships between states and institutions fostering integration between corporations and defense and security forces from all regions.
