Santa Maria (RS) – Between July 25 and 27, the 1st Combat Car Regiment (1st RCC) conducted Exercise COURAÇA/2023, which consisted of a field training in which the Readiness Force Subunit Task Force (FORPRON) performed offensive operations.
This training aimed to improve the techniques, tactics, and procedures of the platoons involved in the exercise, including: two (02) Combat Car Platoons from the 1st RCC, one (01) Armored Marine Platoon from the 29th Armored Infantry Battalion, one (01) Engineering Group from the 12th Armored Combat Engineering Battalion, and one (1) forward observer officer from the 3rd Self-Propelled Field Artillery Group. One (1) platoon from the 6th Mechanized Cavalry Squadron also participated as an opposing force.
The activity began with the receipt of the Operations Order from the Regimental Command, followed by planning, preparation of individual and collective material, and movement to the Santa Maria Field of Instruction. Finally, the exercise was crowned with the execution of a coordinated attack.
