The Army Chief of Doctrine, Brigadier General Marcelo Pereira Lima de Carvalho, follows the latest developments at EUROSATORY 22. The international arms industry fair takes place every two years at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center, in Paris. It is organized by the General Commissariat of Exhibitions and Fairs of the French Defense Industries (COGES/GICAT, acronyms in French) in partnership with the French Ministry of Defense.
The exhibition is the largest of its kind in the world, with more than 1,500 exhibitors and 57,000 international visitors. It is closed to the general public and reserved for professionals in the field, government officials, industry professionals, and representatives of all ranks of the armed and security forces, police and emergency units.
There are two parts to the exhibit: indoor and outdoor. A dynamic live demonstration zone has been set up to show the actual use of various devices: vehicles, drones, technical intervention, and others. These demonstrations are organized twice a day and attract about a thousand visitors.
It covers a wide range of products, from vehicles (tanks, armored vehicles, trucks) to small arms (guns, missiles, knives), to communication systems, uniforms, logistics services, but also simulation, operational medicine and disaster response, etc. Also prominent at recent exhibitions were solutions for monitoring, alerting and emergency response, civil security with the presence of firefighters, among other institutions.
