From July 4 to 6, the 19th Motorized Infantry Battalion “Mountain Battalion” participated in Operation Montenegro, a Combat to Location and March to Combat training exercise, with the participation of the 1st Marine Company and the Command and Support Company. The activity was carried out in the surroundings of the Soldiers’ Specialization and Training School (EsFES), of the Military Brigade of Rio Grande do Sul, in the city of Montenegro/RS.
The Montenegro Operation began after the activation of the Battalion Call Plan, triggered by the Unit Command in the early morning of July 4, when the Mountain Battalion went into Situation of Operational Readiness and Situation of March Order, moving to the site of the exercise.
