Cascavel (PR) – On the morning of November 7th, at the facilities of the 15th Logistics Battalion (15th Logistic Battalion), a training course on maintenance and operation of the weapon systems for the Guarani Multi-Task Armored Vehicle (VBMT-LSR) and Armored Personnel Carrier (VBTP-MSR) began.
Divided into two shifts and coordinated by the Material Directorate (D Mat), the internship aims to spread technical knowledge to the military that work in the field of maintenance and operation of the weapon systems of the Guarani armored vehicles. In this first stage, a team of technicians from the company ARES Aeroespacial e Defesa S.A. provided instruction on armament in the configuration of the REMAX turret.
In the period from November 21 to December 2, the second round will take place, where Australian instructors from the company W&E Platt Pty Ltda will explain about the different weapon systems mounted on the PLATT turret.
In all, 20 military instructors from various military organizations are participating in the activity in order to identify the main characteristics, components and accessories of the REMAX and PLATT Towers.
The Commander of the 15th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Marcos Americo Vieira Pessôa, was the highest-ranking authority present at the opening of the training course. He addressed the students, encouraging them to be potentializing and disseminating elements of the knowledge acquired during the activity, spreading the mentality of maintenance of the weapon systems of the Guarani and VBMT-LSR multi-task armored vehicles.
