Brasília (DF) – The Planalto Military Command carried out the exercise for the Advanced Training period of its general employment troops in 2023. Operation Treme Cerrado took place between October 16 and 20, at the Formosa (GO) Training Camp. More than a thousand soldiers from the 3rd Motorized Infantry Brigade were brought together in the context of an offensive operation, with mechanized means and fire support.
During operational training, situations experienced in combat were simulated, such as coordinated attacks and taking advantage of success. In addition, through Simulated Military Problems, the soldiers in command carried out situation studies to decide on the best course of action.
The Planalto Military Command covers the areas of the Federal District, Goiás, Triângulo Mineiro and most of Tocantins. Characterized as an Area Military Command with peculiar characteristics, it acts in ceremonial and presidential security, in the Army’s Engineering Works System, as well as having mechanized troops and specialized modules. It is a troop of strategic value for the Land Force, bringing together various types of military specialists, fundamental for national defense and the defense of the federal capital.
