Goiânia (GO) – The Special Operations Support Battalion (B Ap Op Esp) held, from June 12 to 16, an exchange with military personnel from the 7th Special Forces Group Support Battalion of the U.S. Army. The purpose of the exchange activity was to share information and experiences with specialists responsible for the logistical support to the Special Operations of both armies.

On the occasion, the American visitors spoke about the dynamics of logistical support to Special Operations resulting from experiences in the various Theaters of Operations, explaining the following topics: overview of support to Special Operations in the U.S. Army, water purification operation, air supply and resupply operations, supply and resupply of weapons, ammunition and fuel in outposts, and medical logistics in special operations.

On the other hand, logistics specialists from B Ap Op Esp, with the support of operators from the 1st Special Forces Battalion (1st BFEsp), talked about the following subjects the logistical and combat support to the Brazilian Army Special Operations, in particular, the support to the Special Forces Operational Detachments (DOFEsp); the tactical pre-hospital care, the training in the Shooting Simulation and Free Fall Sections (Wind Tunnel and Navigation Simulator), logistics and use of attack and sniffer dogs from the War Dogs Section, and the logistical support through Airborne Infiltrations.

In this opportunity, visitors were shown the semi-automatic launch of troops, medium loads, and dogs-of-war from the C-105 AMAZONAS aircraft, as well as the operation of the Launch Zone (LZ).
