Manaus (AM) – Under the coordination of the Land Operations Command (COTER), the Mobile Training Team for the United Nations Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (EMT MONUSCO) was prepared at the Jungle Warfare Training Center (CIGS). During the activity, the team’s techniques, tactics, and procedures for jungle operations were updated. The activity took place from August 8th to 19th.
The MONUSCO mobile training team provides specialized training to the United Nations troops, more specifically those of the Force Intervention Brigade (FIB) – the Brigade of Intervention, composed of soldiers from South Africa, Malawi, Tanzania, Nepal and Indonesia – including combatants from the Congolese Army.
The training of EMT MONUSCO was monitored by COTER, through members of the Peace Mission, Aviation and Military Police General Inspectorate.
