Jungle Brigade receives authorities from Brazil and the United States for the planning of CORE 2023

Macapá (AP) – From July 13 to 21, the 22nd Jungle Infantry Brigade Command received the Chief of the Operations Coordination Center of the Northern Military Command (CCOp/CMN), Brigadier General Evandro Luis Lopes Ferreira, and delegates from the Northern Military Command and the United States Army.

The purpose of the visit was to carry out the Initial Site Survey (ISS) planned as a planning stage for Exercise CORE 23 (Combined Operations and Rotation Exercises) in the Garrisons of Macapá and Oiapoque.

The operation, in the year 2023, will bring together troops from the Brazilian Army and the U.S. Army for combined training in the Garrisons of Belém, Macapá, Oiapoque and the District of Clevelândia do Norte, in order to maintain the historical ties between the countries and increase the integration and cooperation between the two armies.
