Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos and Taurus exhibit novelties at the International Congress on Police Operations 2023Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos and Taurus exhibit novelties at the International Congress on Police Operations 2023

CBC will launch first-hand at the event the Frangible Ammunition with Sinterfire projectiles, a new company of the CBC Global Ammunition Group

Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos (CBC) and Taurus will be present with several new products at the International Congress on Police Operations – COP International 2023, the largest public security event in Latin America, which will take place from October 25 to 27 at the São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo.

Strategic Defence companies and the world’s leading arms and ammunition manufacturers, CBC and Taurus have one of the largest stands at the event, located opposite the main entrance, with a total structure of 168 m², where they will be exhibiting launches aimed at the police and military forces, as well as their complete portfolio of products that are widely recognized on the national and international markets.

On this occasion, Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos is exclusively presenting and highlighting at the event the new Frangible ammunition produced with SinterFire projectiles, an American company that is now part of the CBC Global Ammunition group.

SinterFire, founded in 1998 and constantly innovating, located in Pennsylvania, produces the most widely used lead-free frangible projectiles in the world, made with an exclusive composition of copper and tin and a heat treatment process developed by the company itself. The frangible projectiles disintegrate into small particles upon impact with hard surfaces, thus reducing the possibility of ricochets.

The new CBC Frangible Ammunition will be the subject of a talk by SinterFire CEO Brandon Graves on October 25 at 11:20 a.m. at COP International. In addition, on October 26 and 27, CBC will be demonstrating this ammunition exclusively in the 9 mm caliber at the AMTT – Armas Munições Tiro e Treinamento store in São Paulo. During the first day of the COP International, police officers selected by CBC’s sales team will receive a voucher at the company’s stand to take part in this dynamic. CBC will provide free transportation for the participants to the venue, via a van that will leave from the São Paulo Expo.

Another launch at COP International 2023 is the CBC Ranger Pro sniper rifle, aimed at professionals in the public security sector and specially designed to meet the demands of the police environment. The novelty will be the subject of a talk given by Paulo Ricardo Gomes, CBC’s Commercial & Marketing Director, and João Sanchez, CBC’s Institutional Business Manager, on October 27 at 9:50 am.

The CBC .308 Win Ranger Pro rifle has a 5-round capacity, 24″ barrel, Cerakote® Armor Black or Desert Sand finish, aluminum stock, stainless steel receiver and barrel. It has a height-adjustable cushion, adjustable sill, integrated monopod (rear support) and standard Aftermarket grip. Built with highly resistant materials, the weapon incorporates state-of-the-art technology to ensure that every shot is controlled, achieving Sub-MOA precision, the standard demanded by elite snipers in special operations groups.

Its ergonomic design, 3-slug locking bolt and 60o trigger pull offer comfort and optimized handling. With a standard M-LOK handguard and Picatinny rail for installing accessories, it offers flexibility for customization, allowing adaptation to the specific needs of each operation, whether in rapid response situations in urban areas, border patrols or long-range tactical operations.

In addition to these novelties, CBC is also exhibiting more than 25 national and imported long guns, especially the Pump Military Tungsten, Khan Mace Tactical and Khan Mace Force rifles, and more than 130 models of ammunition in different calibers and projectile configurations. Highlights include the main ammunition sold on the market, including Bonded expanding ammunition, CBC Pro Shock ammunition, NTA (Non Toxic Ammunition) training ammunition, and premium ammunition for rifles and machine guns, such as 5.56 OTM, 5.56/7.62 IR Tracer, 5.56 SAT and .223 Polymer Tip.

Taurus is exclusively presenting the new T9 MLOK carbine, the brand’s first tactical weapon in 9 mm caliber, with an 8″ barrel and a 32-shot capacity magazine, in matte or transparent polymer, which allows the ammunition to be seen. With a modern design, on the AR-9 platform, the novelty is made from 7075 hard-anodized aluminium, providing lightness and resistance, with a matte black finish, and a steel barrel.

Another product in the spotlight is the T4, the first Brazilian assault rifle to be certified to the new standards of the National Secretariat for Public Security. The certification was issued by ABIMDE Certificadora in September 2023, after the weapon underwent a sequence of 14 rigorous quality tests, carried out in a laboratory certified by the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO), in which it was fully approved.

Taurus is exhibiting at COP International the various versions of the T4 assault rifle, in 5.56 and .300BLK calibers, models widely used by various police, military and security institutions in Brazilian states and around the world, especially by NATO member countries and the Philippine Army, where it has become the standard rifle in operations due to its quality.

In the pistol segment, visitors will be able to see the TS9 and its compact TS9c version, both in Graphene. The new models of the already renowned Striker TS9 platform, as well as having all the benefits of innovative graphene technology, which brings much more resistance and durability to the pistols, are equipped with a Picatinny rail to allow the coupling of accessories and adapt their operation.

The Taurus launches, developed by Taurus’ Brazil/United States Integrated Technology and Engineering Center (CITE), are part of the company’s strategy of investing heavily in research and development of efficient production processes, products with built-in technology and innovative materials.

The subject will also be the topic of a talk by Taurus’ Global CEO, Salesio Nuhs, at COP International, on October 26 at 9:50 am. He will talk about the company, the various new products developed to meet consumer needs, as well as the investments made in recent years in technology and innovation.

Taurus will also present visitors with its complete product portfolio, with 167 weapons on display at the stand, and the lines of suppressors, grips, handmade knives, accessories and clothing, sold on the brand’s marketplace.
