Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – The Army Test and Evaluation Center (CAEx) – “Campo de Provas da Marambaia/ 1948” participated, from September 27 to 30, 2022, in the 39th International Test and Evaluation (T&E) Symposium, an event organized by the International Test & Evaluation Association, which took place in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA, with the theme “Forging the Test and Evaluation Tools of the 21st Century in the Era of Global Economic Competition”.
The Symposium covered a variety of topics in the Test and Evaluation segment, including: the T&E process applied throughout the Life Cycle of materials, the incorporation of T&E into procurement contracts, and the application of T&E in critical and emerging technologies of the 21st century.
The internationally recognized event had as speakers commanders from US military units in the T&E segment, namely: Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC), U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM), Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC), Operational Test & Evaluation Force (OPTEVFOR) and Marine Corps Operational Test and Evaluation Activity (MCOTEA), as well as members of the U.S. Department of Defense, professors from various universities and T&E professionals from several countries.
The participation of CAEx, represented by Colonel Ismael Campos Cardoso and Captain Rafael Vitor Guerra Queiroz, contributed significantly to greater insertion of the Army Science, Technology and Innovation System in the international T&E community, through contacts with international entities in the segment and to the improvement and consolidation of good practices used in the processes used to obtain Systems and Materials of interest to the Land Force.
