Military security and defense event, the largest in Southeast Asia, takes place in Indonesia
The Brazilian Defense and Security Industrial Base will be represented at Indo Defence Expo & Forum 2022, which takes place between November 2nd and 5th, in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Brazil Pavilion, organized by ABIMDE (Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials Industries), in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), will count with the participation of 18 Brazilian companies.
Indo Defence is considered the largest exhibition of land, air and naval security and defense in Southeast Asia, and one of the leading international exhibitions in the sector. In its last edition, in 2018, it received more than 30,000 visitors, including 217 foreign delegations. The Brazil Pavilion aims to disseminate the technological and innovation expertise of the Defense and Security Industrial Base (BIDS).
“Creating new business opportunities in the global market and fostering exports of defense and security products are among ABIMDE’s main commitments to the national industry. Thanks to the support of ApexBrasil, we were able to take a large number of companies and represent BIDS in the main international fairs of interest to our members,” said General Aderico Mattioli, Executive President of ABIMDE. The following companies will be present at the Brazilian Pavilion at Indo Defense: A.S. Avionics, AEQ, Akaer, Ares, Avibras, BCA, CBC, Condor, CSD, Embraer, Emgepron, Gespi, Kryptus, M&K Assessoria, Mac Jee, Neger, Siatt and Taurus.
BID Brazil Exhibition will close the schedule of exhibitions
The Indo Defence Expo & Forum 2022 ends the agenda of ABIMDE’s participation in international exhibitions this year, but the big event of the national calendar in the area of Defense and Security will happen in December: the 7th BID Brazil Show. Organized by ABIMDE with the support of ApexBrasil, the IDB Brazil Exhibition will take place from December 6th to 8th at the Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center, in Brasília (DF). During the three days, the main Brazilian companies of the sector will showcase their products and technologies to a qualified audience, which includes foreign delegations, ambassadors and military attachés from several countries.
ABIMDE
With 37 years of activities, the Brazilian Defense and Security Materials Industries Association (ABIMDE) is recognized as the legitimate interlocutor of the Defense and Security Industrial Base in Brazil. The entity promotes actions for the valorization and promotion of the companies of the sector in the national and international markets, and for the strengthening or implementation of policies and programs that ensure the development of this industry. Among its more than 200 members are the main defense and security companies installed in the country.
ApexBrasil
The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) works to promote Brazilian products and services abroad and attract foreign investments to strategic sectors of the Brazilian economy. The Agency performs several commercial promotion actions, such as prospective and commercial missions, business rounds, support to the participation of Brazilian companies in large international fairs, and visits of foreign buyers and opinion makers to get to know the Brazilian productive structure.
