Between March 20 and 22, the Sixth Regional Air Command (VI COMAR) held the Cycle of Lectures in honor of Air Force Specialist Day in Brasília (DF), in the auditoriums of the Brasília Support Group (GAP-BR) and the Brasília Air Force Personnel Recruitment and Preparation Service (SEREP-BR). The event, coordinated by the Master Graduate of the Brasilia Air Force Garrison (GUARNAE-BR), Technical Supply Specialist Petty Officer Roberto Moraes Ramos, was aimed at working on topics relevant to strengthening the values and careers of graduates, bringing opportunities and knowledge to the staff.

“The meeting was a unique opportunity to reinforce the pillars that underpin the excellence and commitment of our graduates. Each topic covered reflects our dedication to fostering an environment where values such as honor, ethics and integrity are experienced on a daily basis,” said Chief Petty Officer R. Moraes.

At the opening, the commander of VI COMAR, Air Brigadier Jefferson Cesar Darolt, welcomed the military personnel present and stressed that the Cycle of Lectures is a recognition of our Specialists. “This cycle of lectures is aimed at our specialist sergeants and non-commissioned officers. The aim is to remind us of important topics that we often overlook in our daily lives. Everyone should make the most of the lectures, which will cover relevant and exciting subjects so that you can achieve success within the Brazilian Air Force,” he said.

The event brought together topics such as Leadership; Honor and Belonging; The Importance of the Evaluation Process and its Impact on the Graduate’s Career; The FAB Medal Selection Process; The Process for Choosing and Selecting Graduates for Special Duties in Brazil and Abroad; and Ethics and Integrity in the Graduate’s Career.

Speakers included: The Deputy Commander of VI COMAR, Colonel Glauco dos Santos Cândido; Colonel Wllices Dantas de Carvalho, from the Air Force General Staff (EMAER), Lieutenant Colonel Emanuel Patricio Beserra Garioli, from the Air Force Social Communication Center (CECOMSAER); Lieutenant Colonel Juarez Bessa Leal, from the Evaluation and Promotions Office (SECPROM); Lieutenant Colonel Davi de Abreu, from the Human Resources Office of the Air Force Commander’s Office (GABAER) and Administrative Specialist Sergeant George Alves de Albuquerque Junior, from the GABAER Council Office.

For Administration Specialist Sergeant Diana Anastácia Menezes Teles, from the Aeronautics Internal Control Center (CENCIAR), the Cycle of Lectures provided an insight into various aspects that are sometimes not evident in the military’s routine. “It was an opportunity to recall the basic concepts that govern our military life, emphasizing how honor, belonging, loyalty and leadership are essential pillars for building an exemplary military, as well as clarifying doubts pertinent to the graduates’ evaluation plan,” he said.
