Registration is now open for the 25th edition of the Symposium on Operational Applications in Defense Areas – XXV SIGE. The event, which is promoted by the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA) and will be held on the campus of the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DCTA), in São José dos Campos (SP), will take place between September 26 and 28 in a hybrid format, i.e. in person and at a distance.
SIGE aims to create an environment for the exchange of experiences between the academic, industrial and operational sectors of the Armed Forces, on issues of teaching, research and development in Defense areas. As part of ITA’s Postgraduate Program, the Symposium is organized by the Coordination Committee of the Postgraduate Program in Operational Applications (PPGAO) and relies on the voluntary participation of the program’s master’s and doctoral students.
The body of reviewers of the articles submitted is made up of members of the national and international scientific community, as well as the operational sector of the Armed Forces and industry, with notable expertise in the area of Defense.
Throughout the event, there will be face-to-face plenary lectures with personalities from government, academia and industry. To enable remote participants to access the event, the activities will also be broadcast online.
A number of technical sessions will also be presented on topics related to operational applications in the areas of: Operational Analysis; Logistics Engineering; Command and Control; Cyber Defense; Electronic Warfare; Remote Sensing; Weapons Systems; Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRN); Space Applications; Bioengineering and Quantum Technologies.
This year, in partnership with the Preparedness Command (COMPREP) and the Cyber Defense Command (COMDCiber), the IV Workshop on Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (IVR), the I Meeting on Quantum Technologies for Defense and the 2nd Week on Operational Applications to Preparedness and Employment will be held simultaneously.
