Brasília (DF) – The Army General Staff, through the 4th Subcommittee, hosted the meetings of the Science, Technology, and Innovation (ST&I) Working Groups BRAZIL-USA/2023, at the Army Headquarters. From July 25 to 27, 2023, several topics relevant to the Brazilian Army and the various American entities represented were addressed.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Army General Staff, General Department of Personnel, Logistics Command, Department of Education and Culture of the Army, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Engineering and Construction, and Land Operations Command.
The U.S. delegation included members from the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary for Defense Export and Cooperation, Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, Engineering Research and Development Center, Army Medical Research and Development Command, Army South and U.S. Southern Command.
The main objective of the meeting was to share significant and innovative experiences for the two countries, within the framework of Science, Technology and Innovation Projects. The opening and closing ceremonies were attended by the deputy chief of science and technology, Lieutenant General Carlos Alberto Dahmer, and the 4th deputy chief of army staff, Major General Willian Koji Kamei.
