Flight of the aircraft marks the beginning of the activities of a new Naval Aviation Squadron

On July 5th, in São Pedro da Aldeia (RJ), the Brazilian Navy held the Activation Ceremony of the 1st Remotely Piloted Aircraft Squadron (EsqdQE-1), a fact that initiated the operations of a new type of means for the Navy.
The new Military Organization of the operational sector, subordinated to the Naval Air Force Command, has the purpose of contributing to the decision-making process of planning and employment of Naval Power through the use of Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA).
The creation of the EsqdQE-1 marks the history of Naval Aviation and will bring a significant increase in the operational capacity of naval ships during intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
