Santa Maria (RS) – On November 30th, the Regional Maintenance Park of the 3rd Military Region (Pq R Mnt/3) delivered four armored vehicles of the M109 A5 self-propelled howitzer combat vehicle to the 22nd Self-propelled Field Artillery Group (22°GAC AP) of Uruguaiana-RS. These vehicles originated from an acquisition made by the Brazilian Army with the government of the United States of America.
After the recovery works executed during the year 2022, the completion of the activity culminated with the execution of the technical shooting, on October 25, at the Barão de São Borja Field of Instruction, in Rosário do Sul-RS.
This activity provided the training of the various logistics teams that took part in the process, and its conclusion will represent a substantial increase in the combat power of the 2nd Mechanized Cavalry Brigade, Large Unit framing the 22nd GAC AP.
