Quatis (RJ) and Porto Real (RJ) – On September 15 to 17, 2022, the Brazilian Joint Center for Peace Operations (CCOPAB), through a Mobile Training Team (EMT), supported the Advanced Peace Operations Exercise (EAOP) applied to the Peace Force Light Infantry Battalion, composed of soldiers from the 12th Light Infantry Brigade (Aeromobile), which was offered by Brazil to the United Nations Peacekeeping Capabilities Readiness System (UNPCRS).
The Exercise, composed entirely of practical activities, had 78 incidents that simulated situations that occur in peacekeeping missions, with emphasis on the following tasks: ostensive patrolling, search and seizure operation, convoy escort, civil-military coordination, occupation of temporary bases, road clearance, civic-social action, protection of civilians, and rules of engagement.
This edition of the EAOP counted on the support of the Army Aviation Command, the East Training Center, and several OM subordinated to the 12th Light Infantry Brigade (Aeromobile), which contributed to the certification of the 688 military personnel that make up the Peacekeeping Light Infantry Battalion.
