Last Friday, October 21, professionals from the security forces of the State of São Paulo carried out an occurrence simulation at the manufacturing unit of Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos (CBC), in Ribeirão Pires (SP). The exercise has as main objective to improve and prepare the effective, following the elaborated strategic planning and prompt response protocol, to act in occurrences involving criminal organizations in places that require attention.
According to CBC’s president, Fabio Mazzaro, the partnership is of utmost importance for being a Strategic Defense Company – appointed by the Ministry of Defense – and a member of the Brazilian Defense Industrial Base (BID).
“CBC is guided by the commitment to contribute to the operations and missions of the Brazilian Public Security Forces and Armed Forces, acting as a national arsenal to defend national sovereignty. Internationally, we are one of the world’s largest suppliers of ammunition to NATO countries and we export our products to about 130 countries. As a manufacturer of controlled products, we have a high level of security in our factory and simulations like this one are part of our rigorous risk contingency plan. Safety is, and always will be, our priority”, he says.
The training was held at night, with a preventive and educational nature, and included the participation of members of the 30th Battalion of the Military Police – Tactical Force and ROCAM, the team of TOR (Tactical Road Patrol) of the Military Road Police, the Aviation Command of the Military Police of São Paulo and CBC’s security team (manager, supervisor, foreman, inspector, security guards of the Motorized Patrol and the Central security/monitoring of cameras and alarms).
In all, the simulation involved 48 police officers, 18 vehicles from the 30th Military Police Battalion, eight motorcycles from the ROCAM, an air support helicopter from the Aviation Command of the São Paulo Military Police, and four vehicles from the TOR (Tactical Oensive Road Traffic) team of the Highway Police.
