The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) was represented at international level by the Director of the Institute of Aeronautics and Space (IAE), Air Brigadier Frederico Casarino, at the 25th year of Global MilSatCom, from November 6th to 10th, at the Broad Sanctuary, Westminster, in London, England.
Global MilSatCom is the world’s leading conference for the military satellite communications market, organized by SAE Media Group Conferences. This year, Brazil was present along with 45 other countries, represented by senior executives and program managers from governments and international industries, to share knowledge and collaborate on important technological topics, including military space and the advancement of satellite communications technology.
The IAE Director spoke about the Brazilian Space Program and the advancement of its capabilities in space. “We presented the evaluation of current launch vehicles and planned developments as important points. Currently, Brazil’s space infrastructure relies on the Alcântara Space Center (CAA), with great capabilities for launches from there,” he said.
During the event, there was also a presentation on SATCOM capacity and planning, the Brazilian Geostationary Communication Satellites (SGDC) 1 and 2.
