On Friday (04/14), the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) concluded its participation in another edition of LAAD Defense & Security, the largest and most important security and defense fair in Latin America.
Four years after its last edition, the Fair reached record attendance numbers. There were more than 45 thousand visitors, 300 exhibitors and 162 delegations.
This year, FAB participated in the Fair with a strategic stand, where the models of the F-39 Gripen and KC-390 Millennium aircraft were exhibited. In the internal area, three rooms were reserved for bilateral meetings with friendly Forces, as well as for meetings with representatives of partner companies.
According to the Air Force Commander, Lieutenant Brigadier Marcelo Kanitz Damasceno, LAAD 2023 was a great success, since many issues related to the growth of the space industry were incisively discussed, which is a goal and guideline of the Air Force, especially through the use of the Alcântara Launch Center (CLA).
“During these four days, we noticed that not only Brazilian companies, but foreign companies are encouraged by this increment of the space industry that the Air Force, together with the Ministry of Defense, has given. Thus, we create new expectations and perspectives related to this activity,” pointed out the FAB Commander, on the last day of the 2023 edition of LAAD.
