June 26th is Search and Rescue Aviation Day, the date was celebrated with a military ceremony, in Campo Grande-MS

On Monday, July 4th, a military ceremony was held in honor of the Search and Rescue Aviation Day. The event was presided by the General Director of the Department of Airspace Control (DECEA), Air Lieutenant Brigadier João Tadeu Fiorentini, and was attended by the Commander of the Preparatory Command (COMPREP), Air Lieutenant Brigadier Sergio Roberto de Almeida; the Commander of Campo Grande Air Base (BACG), Air Brigadier Clauco Fernando Vieira Rossetto; among other civil and military authorities.
At the occasion, the troop was formed by PARASAR – Airborne Rescue Squadron (EAS); by the Second Squadron of the Tenth Aviation Group (2º/10º GAv) – Pelican Squadron; and by Squadrons representing the Search and Rescue Aviation. The “SAR Anthem” was sung by all present and the “SAR Man Citation” was given to the Material Specialist Sub-Officer Ronaldo Edson de Brito by Lieutenant-Brigadier Fiorentini and by the 2nd/10th GAV Commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Emanuel Patricio Beserra Garioli.
The COMPREP Operational Highlight Mention was also delivered at the ceremony, in the silver operational highlight category, to Captain Marcos Sant’ana da Silva Junior and Sergeant André Ricardo Palma. The delivery was made by Lieutenant Brigadier Almeida and Brigadier Rossetto.
Afterwards, the Order of the Day was read by the Preparatory Commander, when the historical trajectory of the Search and Rescue Aviation was recalled, highlighting the excellence and vibrancy in the fulfillment of its sacred mission. Finally, Lieutenant Brigadier Fiorentini, in his words, showed pride in belonging to this Aviation, highlighting the importance of the synergy of all links in the Search and Rescue System and ended with a congratulatory message for the day on behalf of the Aeronautics Commander, Air Lieutenant Brigadier Carlos de Almeida Baptista Junior.
The ceremony ended with a troop parade from the Campo Grande Air Force Garrison, highlighting the overflying of the SC-105 and H-60L aircrafts.
