The 2nd Seminar on Good Practices with Drones in Public Security will be held in Foz do Iguaçu in March, with the participation of security forces from Brazil and eight other countries.

Atech, an Embraer Group company, will take part in the 2nd Police Drone – Seminar on Good Practices with Drones in Public Security, which will be held in Foz do Iguaçu (PR) from March 26 to 28. During the event, Atech will demonstrate Incident Management in simulated police operations using drones.

The seminar, promoted by the Foz do Iguaçu Public Security Secretariat in partnership with the Public Security Remote Pilots Guild, will bring together various security agencies from all over Brazil. Among the participants are agents from the state and municipal police forces, the Federal Police, the federal and state highway police; members of the Federal Revenue Service and professionals from Civil Defense and the fire department.

This second edition of the event also includes security agents from eight other countries: Colombia, Paraguay, Argentina, Spain, the United States, Belgium and Latvia.

There will be three days of intense activities aimed at sharing experiences and knowledge about the use of drones in public security. The program includes lectures, workshops and simulated exercises using drones in various scenarios, such as combat, serving arrest warrants, operations in risk areas and CQB (Combat in Confined Environments), among others.

Technology to save lives

Atech will be represented by a specialized technical team and Commercial Manager Cláudio Trapaga F. Nascimento Filho, who will demonstrate the GDI’s capabilities in real applications during simulated exercises. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the GDI’s applications in intelligence actions, target acquisition, monitoring sensitive areas, and in search, rescue and salvage operations, among others.

Atech’s GDI uses IoT technologies, georeferencing (GIS) and a cloud computing environment. The system, which is part of Atech’s Arkhe Governance family of products, enables the integration of data generated by drones, such as tracking, telemetry and images, providing a complete, real-time view of the theater of operations. Among the devices that can be integrated with GDI are bodycams, cell phones, communication radios, vehicles, boats, helicopters, cameras and drones.

According to Cláudio Nascimento, the drone adds much more value to the security forces if it is integrated with an intelligent system that enables assertive decision-making, such as the GDI.

Atech’s system delivers contextualized information to commanders. All the data collected (location, images, etc.) can be viewed in an organized way at operations centers or remote mobile units, anywhere in the country, with total security.

“Atech’s Incident Management System is capable of meeting all the needs of the Security Forces in terms of drone management. It’s an innovative and efficient system that provides comprehensive situational awareness and greater control of risks and threats in the field. GDI enables rapid responses that can save lives,” said the Atech manager.

He also points out that the system is continually updated to keep up with the growing variety of applications for drones in Public Safety, demonstrating Atech’s commitment to offering innovative solutions for the protection and safety of people.
