Aeromobile Brigade intensifies preparation for use as a Readiness ForceAeromobile Brigade intensifies preparation for use as a Readiness Force

Piquete (SP) – Between August 13 and 20, members of the 2nd, 5th and 6th Light Infantry Battalions carried out Fornovo III training in the region of Lorena (SP) and the historic Presidente Vargas Factory in Piquete. The activity is part of the Aeromobile Brigade’s preparation for the certification of the troops that make up the Brazilian Army’s Readiness System (SISPRON), which will take place in September. At this stage, the subunits that make up the Bandeirantes Aeromobile Task Force were certified.

During the training, the level of training achieved by the troops and the control mechanisms of the fractions in combat were checked, particularly in defensive missions, such as the firing routes of the platoons, combat groups and organic support weapons. The positive results achieved in this training have a direct impact on the effectiveness of the units of the 12th Light Infantry Brigade (Aeromóvel), reinforcing the readiness of the troops and optimizing their efficiency in defence and external security missions. The activities were monitored by the Commander of the 12th Light Infantry Brigade (Aeromóvel), Brigadier General Rodrigo Ferraz Silva.

The activities included air movement, with the use of aircraft from the 1st and 2nd Army Aviation Battalions to the Landing Zone; infiltration on foot at night to the objective; and the maintenance of a defensive device (maintained for 48 hours). The activities included the participation of observers, controllers and evaluators who monitored the doctrinal suitability of the actions.
