Brasília (DF), 17/10/23 – On October 25, the 13th Defense Industry Forum (FID) will be held in the main auditorium of the War College (ESD) in Brasília. The event, scheduled to start at 9 a.m., will involve the sector’s associations and federations to analyze the need to improve Law No. 12.598 (21/3/12), as well as the functioning of the Joint Defense Industry Commission (CMID). The law deals with special rules for the purchase, contracting and development of defense products and systems, and provides for rules to encourage the strategic area of the segment.
The FID is a thematic subcommittee of an advisory nature, made up of representatives from the public and private sectors, with the aim of advising the CMID and promoting the exchange of information and experiences between the sector’s business community and representatives of government bodies.
Companies wishing to attend the talks can do so online. The link must be requested by October 20 from the CMID’s Executive Secretariat by emailing secretaria.cmid@defesa.gov.br. All you need to do is provide the name of the body and the representative, as well as the entity’s CNPJ.
