Taurus, the world’s leading manufacturer of revolvers and one of the largest producers of pistols, as well as the largest seller of small arms in the world and the brand most imported by the USA, was present from November 6 to 9 at Defense & Security 2023, which took place at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand.
The biennial fair is one of the most important in the region, where the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) defense and internal security innovations and technologies are presented in the land, air and sea areas, by Thai and international manufacturers, and is a great opportunity for business, networking and collaboration between exhibitors, delegations, professionals and visitors from all over the world.
Taurus exhibited its broad portfolio of products, highlighting weapons models that are internationally recognized by the military, police and security forces, such as the Taurus T4 assault rifle in various versions, in calibers 5.56, 7.62×39 and .300 BLK, the SMT9 submachine gun, as well as new products, including the T9 submachine gun in 9mm caliber and the T10 semi-automatic precision rifle in 7.62×51 caliber.
In the pistol line, the company presented the innovative GX4 series, awarded Best Value Handgun by Ballistic Magazine and Handgun of the Year by Guns and Ammo Magazine, the robust PT92 pistol with an aluminum frame and the traditional Taurus 1911.
In addition to the TH9 pistol and the compact TH9c, from the TH series, the TS9 and its compact TS9c version, from the TS series, and the new G3 Tactical, which makes up the G3 series of semi-automatic pistols in 9mm caliber. The models are ideal for police, military and special forces use under extreme conditions, as well as personal defense.
Also on display at the event were the renowned RT 856, RT 460H and RT 454 revolvers. As well as models from the Rossi Taurus revolver range, renowned for their classic features and modern manufacturing techniques, including the RP63 and RM66, both finished in Cerakote® and with a 6-shot capacity in .38 SPL and .357 MAG calibres.
The Taurus stand was visited by delegations from important security forces, such as the National Police, Royal Guard, Army, Navy and representatives from the Thai Ministry of Defense.
Taurus’ participation in Defence & Security 2023 is yet another opportunity to expand international business and further strengthen the brand’s reputation in the region.
Defence & Security 2023 was attended by 30 national pavilions and more than 500 military and security industries from 50 countries.
This year’s edition was expected to welcome more than 20,000 professionals from 65 countries and more than 400 official delegations representing around 35 countries.
