Taurus and Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos (CBC) are participating in Indo Defense, a biennial exhibition of technology and sale of products aimed at the Defense and Security segment. The event takes place in Jakarta, Indonesia, between November 2nd and 5th.
The brands, considered among the leading manufacturers of weapons and ammunition in the world, are present in a booth at the Brazil Pavilion, organized by ABIMDE (Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials Industries), in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments), alongside 16 other Brazilian companies, with the aim of disseminating the technological expertise and innovation of the Defense and Security Industrial Base (BIDS).
Organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, Indo Defence Expo & Forum, which has been held since 2004, simultaneously with Indo Aerospace Expo & Forum and Indo Marine Expo & Forum, is considered the largest land, air and naval security and defense exhibition in Southeast Asia, and one of the leading international exhibitions in the sector. In its last edition in 2018, 217 official delegations from 33 countries participated and received over 30,000 visitors from 66 countries.
Presenting the latest military, air and nautical defense and security technologies, it is a meeting point that brings together key decision makers, defense authorities and companies from around the world.
Visitors to the Taurus booth can find arms models that are internationally recognized by the military and police forces, such as the Taurus T4 rifle in caliber 5.56 NATO in various versions, as well as the SMT9 submachine gun and the ST12 Tactical Full rifle.
In the pistol segment, the highlights are the Taurus TS9 and TH9 in the full and compact versions and the Taurus GX4 pistol, which recently won the most important award in the United States arms industry – the coveted Handgun of the Year 2022 award offered by the American magazine GUNS & AMMO. Visitors will also be able to see the G3, PT92 and 1911 pistols.
CBC’s complete portfolio is on display at its booth, including innovative and high-performance solutions produced for the military and police segments, highlighting the high-tech ammunition CBC 5.56 and 7.62 IR Tracer – with visible trace only with night vision goggles -, 5.56 SAT – new generation ammunition with high penetration power, with performance equivalent to the 7.62 caliber -, and the ammunition .50 Limited Range – with a range reduced to 50% of conventional ammunition for training purposes without prejudice to accuracy and efficiency.
Besides the 40×53 mm high velocity CBC ammunition in training and operational versions for use by the Armed Forces, which are compatible with the most modern Automatic Grenade Launchers (LAGs) in the world market. The main advantages of this ammunition are versatility of use and superior firepower.
