Strategic landing reinforces logistics and operations in the Amazon regionStrategic landing reinforces logistics and operations in the Amazon region

Manaus (AM) – On Friday, December 29, the Amazon Military Command (CMA) received the Forte do Presépio (Army) and Major-Brigadeiro Rolla (Air Force) ferries. The vessels transported military equipment, consisting of 33 vehicles, including 16 Guaicuru Multitask Armored Vehicles, as well as Command and Control Modules, with a load of approximately 50 tons.

These materials were transported over 1,600 kilometers from Belém (PA) to Manaus. The materials were received by the Commander of the 12th Military Region, General Alvarenga, the Head of the CMA’s Operations Coordination Center, General Pimentel, and the Commander of the CMA’s Vessel Center, Lieutenant Colonel Bitencourt.

This is another stage in Operation Roraima, a coordinated effort aimed at strengthening the operational and logistical readiness of the CMA’s Readiness Force, the 1st Jungle Infantry Brigade. The significant presence of the Command and Control Modules highlights the importance of effectively coordinating operations in the challenging environment of the Amazon.

The considerable distance covered in this mission underlines not only the logistical complexity, but also the Brazilian Army’s determination to maintain a robust and efficient presence in the Amazon region.
