LAAD Defence & Security 2023 takes place in Rio de Janeiro in April, bringing together the world’s leading suppliers of products and services for the sector. Embraer is the event’s master sponsor
Expected to receive 160 official delegations from all continents, LAAD Defence & Security is holding its 13th edition from April 11 to 14, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, bringing together the main Brazilian and foreign companies that supply products and services to the armed forces and security forces.
So far, several countries, such as Germany, Argentina, Bahrain, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, Colombia, South Korea, Egypt, Ecuador, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, United States, Ethiopia, Philippines, Finland, France, Ghana Guatemala, French Guyana, Guinea Bissau, Haiti, Holland, Honduras, Italy, Jordan, Nigeria, Panama, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, and United Kingdom, among others, have already accredited their entourage to know the launches of 250 exhibitors that represent 400 brands.
With 45 thousand visitors expected, LAAD Security & Defence 2023 will present the main innovations for the aeronautical and naval engineering, personal and tactical equipment, ammunition and armaments, optics and electronics, consulting, training and services, cyber defense and cyber security, counterterrorism, transmission, communication and positioning, emergency, rescue and salvage, access control and surveillance, forensics and forensics, and vehicles segments.

According to the commander of the Air Force, Air Lieutenant Brigadier Marcelo Kanitz Damasceno, “the participation of the Brazilian Air Force in LAAD 2023 represents an important resumption of meetings, debates and exhibitions on defense and aerospace topics. The return of the fair, therefore, is a unique opportunity to address the advancement of our ability to develop and conduct high-tech projects that contribute to the strengthening of national defense by increasing the Defense Industrial Base”.
