Logistics Command supports Force readiness in the AmazonLogistics Command supports Force readiness in the Amazon

Brasília (DF) – The Logistics Command, with the support of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), carried out a mission to resupply 15 tons of food from the logistics hub in Rio de Janeiro to the Amazon Military Command (CMA), ensuring Logistics and Operational readiness in the Western Amazon.

The mission involved a convoy from the Logistics Support Base/COLOG, made up of resources from the Central Transport Establishment and the 1st Supply Depot, which transported the 15 tons of supplies to the Galeão Air Base to meet the needs of that Military Area Command. The material was loaded onto a KC30 aircraft from the 2nd/2nd Transportation Group, FAB Corsair Squadrons, bound for the garrison in Manaus, where it was received by the 12th Supply Battalion.

In this support for the CMA, the Rio de Janeiro logistics hub stood out as an area of concentration of interest, with its regulatory stock of supply items, in order to meet demand from the Amazon region, at a time of reduced storage levels for that Grand Command, and, added to the efficiency of the FAB’s support in the transportation of Class I Supplies, contributed to generating the capacity to provide the highest level of logistical support to the CMA.
