IACIT confirms presence at the 13th edition of LAADIACIT confirms presence at the 13th edition of LAAD

The technological solutions company will present its robust portfolio in the areas of Defense and Public Safety, aligned to the needs of the Armed Forces

IACIT will participate in the 13th edition of the largest and most important fair of Defense and Security in Latin America – LAAD 2023 – which will take place from April 11th to 14th – at the Riocentro Convention and Exhibition Center, Rio de Janeiro – RJ. The company will be present at Pavilion 3 – Booth L-45, with a multidisciplinary team ready to serve visitors, discuss projects and highlight its products.
IACIT’s expertise, acquired through constant performance in the Defense segment for almost 37 years, allows the company to offer high technology solutions applicable also to the civilian market.

With an eye on the future

IACIT will have several highlights at LAAD 2023, such as the RMT 0200 Solid State Dual Polarization S-Band weather radar network, which will expand the meteorological coverage of the Brazilian airspace and will contribute to the safety and efficiency of flights in the national territory.
The OTH 0100 (Over the Horizon) – which has “a look beyond the horizon” – classified as a Strategic Defense Product, the maritime surveillance radar offers greater coverage and more efficiency in monitoring vessels, reducing costs for monitoring Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs) will also be presented at the event.

“It is the first of its kind, developed, installed and in operation in South America. This strengthens IACIT’s image in the global market and, therefore, it is very important that this product be presented at LAAD 2023” – explains Gustavo de Castro Hissi, IACIT’s Marketing and Sales Director – who also adds that the OTH 0100 is one of the few in the world capable of tracking non-cooperative vessels at a distance of up to 200 MN (Nautical Miles) from the coast in real time.

Among its many applications, the OTH 0100 system can be considered a key tool to curb crimes such as piracy, product smuggling, drug and people trafficking, monitoring of hostile forces, espionage, environmental crimes and preservation of the natural wealth present in the EEZ.

In the area of electronic countermeasures, IACIT, after observing the world market movement in the area of unmanned aircrafts (UA), and foreseeing trends and problems, proposed a technological solution, the DRONEBLOCKER, a system capable of detecting and locating the presence of drones and blocking them with radio frequency interference. The system will be diffused at the LAAD booth.

Another solution of note will be the VIMTRAH (Real-Time Integrated Maritime Surveillance Beyond the Horizon) platform, a technology applied to Defense through the Beyond the Horizon radar for maritime surveillance at great distances.

The VIMTRAH platform fuses data from OTH 0100, coastal radars, E/O sensors, and collaborative sources, allowing real-time monitoring of parameters such as speed, latitude, longitude, and course of targets, which makes the solution an important tool for maintaining maritime sovereignty, and can also be used in aerial monitoring.

Another product that has already made Brazil achieve technological autonomy in this segment, the DME 0200 is present in IACIT’s portfolio to be promoted at this edition of LAAD.

The DME 0200 (Distance Measuring Equipment) is an air navigation aid equipment that allows to determine the distance of an aircraft in relation to a point located on the terrain and supporting the spatial location as an alternative to GPS navigation, a 100% national product, operating in several locations in Brazil by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) through DECEA (Airspace Control Department).
As Integrated Solutions, IACIT will promote the e-VTOL system, a take-off and vertical landing vehicle with sustainable electric energy, which enables its application in distinct solutions such as in the oil and gas segment, besides energy inspection.
