The Security, Infrastructure and Geospatial division of Hexagon – www.hexagon.com – world leader in autonomous sensors, software and solutions, is participating in the 13th edition of LAAD Defense & Security 2023 – the largest fair for Defense and Security in Latin America, presenting world-class solutions and technologies used by more than 2,500 organizations. The event, which takes place between April 11 and 14, in Rio de Janeiro, brings together the main entities, authorities and suppliers of the sector, both nationally and internationally.

During LAAD, industry experts will be able to learn about HxGN Smart Advisor® – the first AI assistive technology for Public Safety, which provides insights and fills operational blind spots, allowing agencies to see the invisible. Through a set of analytical software agents, enhanced by machine learning, the AI analyzes data from different sources and autonomously, detecting patterns, identifying correlations between distinct occurrences, and alerting dispatch operators so they can better assess each situation, share data or make decisions and act immediately based on more accurate information. The public security systems provided by the company currently support the operations of more than 420 operations centers in Brazil and worldwide, including the Military Police of Rio de Janeiro and the Operations and Intelligence Center of Bahia.
The public will also learn about Hexagon’s multi-agency solution for incident and disaster command, a software solution that combines different geospatial and Public Safety technologies to help organizations such as Civil Defense and Fire Departments achieve better communication and coordination in operations, especially in critical situations such as landslides, floods and inundations, which are increasingly recurrent in Brazil – and the world.
At Hexagon’s booth, it is also possible to know in detail the company’s latest innovation for the environmental sector, the HxGN Smart Monitoring® – a software solution that uses different geotechnologies, AI and automated flows to detect changes in monitored areas that may reveal suspicious activities such as, for example, mining, deforestation, fires or illegal occupations. By being integrated with different databases, systems, and devices from different organizations, the solution generates automatic and accurate alerts for users, allowing verification procedures to be immediately initiated by the system itself, increasing the monitoring agencies’ management capacity and the enforcement agencies’ capacity to act.
