Brasília (DF) – The Ministry of Defense (MD), through the General Secretariat (SG), participated in the first Sest Apresenta. The event, which began on Friday (6), is part of the Supervisory Ministries of Federal State Companies series, promoted by the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI). At the event, the presidents of the four state-owned companies supervised by the Ministry highlighted aspects such as areas of activity, governance structure and the portfolio of the main strategic Defense projects and products.
During the event, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, Luiz Henrique Pochyly da Costa, stressed the importance of the initiative to promote an environment of dialogue and exchange of knowledge, as well as generating a channel for publicizing the work carried out by the four companies linked to the Ministry. “The companies linked to the MD have a major influence on the country’s social, economic and political spheres. They work in total synergy with the development of actions related to the Ministry’s strategic objectives, particularly within the national defense program,” he said.
Currently under the supervision of the MD are the Brazilian War Material Industry (IMBEL); Amazônia Azul Defense Technologies (AMAZUL); the Naval Projects Management Company (EMGEPRON) and NAV Brasil – Serviços de Navegação Aérea S/A. “There is a perfect symbiosis between the areas in which the four companies operate and the missions inherent to the Ministry of Defense,” said the Secretary General.
Sest Presents – The initiative aims to broaden knowledge about public policies, the role of state-owned companies and government guidelines. In this way, the event is part of the actions of the MD and the MGI’s Secretariat for the Coordination and Governance of State-Owned Enterprises to foster interaction between the portfolios and related companies.
