For the second year running, Embraer was among the top winners of the National Innovation Award, an initiative of the Business Mobilization for Innovation (MEI), carried out by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and SEBRAE (Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service).
At the awards ceremony held last night in São Paulo, Embraer won the Innovation Management category, which highlights organizations that, through the implementation of processes, methods, techniques and tools, produce an environment conducive to the generation of innovations. The company was also among the top three in the sustainability category.
“It is a great pleasure for Embraer to once again be honoured by this important award, which encourages and recognizes the efforts of institutions working in the Brazilian innovation ecosystem,” said Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Embraer.
The award methodology follows an international standard and the registered institutions go through stages of evaluation, validation and panels of judges until the finalists and winners are selected. In Embraer’s case, the fundamentals of the company’s practices, which rely on multiple channels and processes to stimulate continuous and disruptive innovation, were the highlights identified by the judging panel.
The initiative is part of the International Industry Innovation Congress, which is being held at the São Paulo Expo until September 28. As well as taking part in debates on strategies to advance in the technological race combined with sustainability, Embraer is also holding interactive activities with the public. These include a flight experience in the C-390 Millennium simulator and virtual reality immersion in the eVTOL, the electric vertical take-off landing vehicle for urban air mobility.
