Company stands out in the industry by combining high technology and state-of-the-art components to meet the demands of the sector nationwide

Daten, a 100% Brazilian company specialized in the production of computer equipment, announces its participation in LAAD Security & Defense 2024, the main meeting of the Security and Defense sector in South America, which will be held from April 2 to 4 at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo (SP). During the event, Daten will showcase the exclusive products it manufactures for the segment and which are already used by corporations throughout Brazil.

Demonstrations of solutions aimed at critical missions, for use in hostile environments and extreme situations to meet the demands of the Armed Forces, Public Security Forces and the Private Security Sector will be held at the event. Comprising notebooks, tablets and servers, Daten’s defense portfolio stands out for its durability, resistance to falls, ability to withstand use in adverse weather conditions and complex combat.

“Our devices are carefully designed to meet the most varied challenges of critical missions,” says Augusto Pitanga, Director of Daten’s Defense and Security Area. According to him, the defense and security sector is a new pillar of action for the company, which already has several closed contracts. “We’re going to show at the event how Daten is promoting state-of-the-art solutions and technology for the sector.”

The first line launched for the sector in 2023 will be shown at the company’s stand. The laptops in the DATEN Alfa X-Ray range are high-performance and robust. They are equipped with a Wi-Fi 6 wireless antenna positioned for a more reliable connection in the field. In addition, they are compatible with 5G and 4G, allowing low latency for actions such as video calls anywhere, and can also be equipped with NFC. The devices have TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module), memory options of 8GB or 16GB and capacities of 256GB, 512GB or 1TB.

The Alfa X-Ray notebooks are configured with Intel Core I5 or I7 processors, two batteries capable of providing uninterrupted operation for up to 24 hours, Bluetooth 5.1 for high-speed transfers and 14″ or 15″ screens. They also support Windows 11 and have an integrated fingerprint recognition module to quickly identify and unlock with high levels of security. They also support expandable and configurable I/O options, which can be adapted to more devices. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics ensure a rich visual experience in video applications and crisp reproductions of maps, charts and diagrams.

Daten’s portfolio also includes the EM-T87X Rugged Tablet, which features Android 12/GMS OS, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. With an 8″ screen, 1920×1200 TFT, 550nits, 5MP front and 13MP rear camera, removable 10000mAh battery and battery-free mode, the tablet also has reinforced corners for greater impact resistance. Daten also offers the EM-T17X Ruggedized Tablet, with the same configurations as the previous model and a 10.1″, 1920×1200 TFT screen.

Daten’s equipment has important certifications, such as MIL-STD 810H and IP65, in the case of X-Ray notebooks, attesting to their high reliability. The tablets are MIL-STD 816G and IP65 certified. Developed by the US Department of Defense, MIL-STD-810H, for example, is an American military standard that seeks to test the design and limits of a piece of equipment and the conditions it will withstand throughout its useful life, by means of temperature, drop, rain, humidity, altitude, salt spray and vibration tests. The IP65 certification confirms that the devices are dustproof and protected against water jets, essential attributes for use in dry environments, forests and other critical locations. With a structure resistant to shocks and vibrations, DATEN’s equipment is designed to remain stable and operational, even in high-speed driving situations or uneven terrain.

In addition to devices, the company also invests in services created on demand to meet the specific needs of each customer in this sector. “We are investing heavily in the sector because we see great opportunities for innovation, something that is in our DNA. We’re very excited to show what we can offer the segment during the event,” says the executive.
