Resende (RJ) – Between July 22 and August 5, the 3rd year Cadets held the 3rd Internship of the Special Instruction Section (SIEsp), necessary for the training of the future combatant officer of the Military Academy of Agulhas Negras (AMAN).
The Internship of Long Range Patrols with Special Characteristics was developed in the region of Areias-SP, Queluz-SP, São José do Barreiro-SP and Itatiaia-RJ (Funnel Dam).
During the activity, which is based on the fulfillment of missions of gradual complexity, both in its planning and execution, the cadets integrated and had the opportunity to command fractions up to value Special Operations Platoon (PELOPES), in the execution of long-range combat patrols with special characteristics, inserted in a war situation, carrying out material capture, destruction and neutralization of compensating targets, with extensive use of fluvial and aerial means in the missions. In addition to aeromobile and riverine techniques, simulated tests and actions were carried out using real ammunition and explosive charges, increasing the realism of the missions.
Also, in this SIEsp, the trainees received instruction support from important military organizations of the Special Operations Command (COpEsp) of the Brazilian Army, which provided more professionalism and specialized training to the Cadet of Caxias.
Finally, crowning the internship, as a result of the planned contingencies of the tactical framework, the cadets executed an unsupported evasion, covering about 50 kilometers, in rugged terrain, having to evade enemy territory until they were welcomed into friendly lines.
All this to develop the fundamental attitudes for the formation of the Brazilian Army officer as persistence, emotional balance, combativeness and hardiness, among others.
