Brasília (DF) – From July 31 to August 4, the Brazilian Joint Peace Operations Center (CCOPAB) conducted the Logistics and Reimbursement in Peace Operations (ELROP) Internship, which took place at the National Defense School (ESD), based in Brasília.

ELROP aims to train Brazilian and foreign military personnel to carry out logistics activities at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels, in addition to managing the reimbursement system, within the scope of Peacekeeping Operations under the auspices of the United Nations (UN).

The first phase of ELROP, lasting two weeks, was conducted in the distance learning modality, through the EBAula platform, when the trainees were able to familiarize themselves with the basic doctrinal aspects, providing the conceptual basis necessary to proceed with the Internship. The second phase, conducted through a face-to-face week, addressed specific content contained in the Contingent-Owned Equipment Manual and several other doctrinal documents of the UN and the Ministry of Defense (MD) on the subject under study. In addition to the exchange of experiences provided by the interaction between students and instructors in the classroom, it is worth mentioning the visit to the Ministry of Defense, an opportunity in which the trainees were able to interact with the Deputy Head of International Operations (SC-4/EMCFA), responsible for the management of peace operations within the MD.

On the morning of August 4, the closing ceremony of the Internship took place, in which the Certificates of Completion were delivered to the 40 students who attended the training, 25 from the Brazilian Army, 8 from the Brazilian Navy and 3 from the Brazilian Air Force, in addition to 4 military personnel from Peru, Portugal and Uruguay.
