Atech, an Embraer Group company, is participating in the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency, which began on Monday (26) and continues through Friday (30), in Vienna, Austria.

In its 66th edition, the conference brings together representatives from IAEA member countries and high-ranking professionals from the public and private sectors. During the event, participants will debate issues relevant to the development, safety and sustainability of the nuclear sector worldwide.

Atech will be part of the Brazilian delegation, composed of authorities from the Brazilian Navy and representatives from Nuclep, Eletronuclear and INB, among other companies and institutions from the Brazilian nuclear ecosystem. Certified by the Brazilian Ministry of Defense as a Strategic Defense Company, Atech operates in important programs of the Brazilian Armed Forces, among them LABGENE (Nuclear-electric Energy Generation Laboratory).

In LABGENE, a program run by the Brazilian Navy, Atech develops all the laboratory’s monitoring, control and protection systems, and will integrate the instrumentation and auxiliary systems that will operate in the unit.

The company will also be responsible for the laboratory’s training, assisted operation, and commissioning support activities. “Atech, which has unique expertise in systems integration and engineering, has also acquired over time rare capabilities in the areas of nuclear instrumentation and control, forming a team of highly qualified professionals to develop solutions that can meet the current demands of the nuclear sector,” says Giacomo Staniscia, Atech’s Business Director for Defense and Security.
