Professional, who has worked for over 20 years at the aerospace company, is a Technology and Innovation Mentor and member of SAE BRAZIL’s Executive Council
André Gasparotti, Senior Manager of Research & Development Programs and Strategy at Embraer, was elected President of the SAE BRAZIL Council for the biennium 2023-2024. The professional replaces Camilo Adas, who was the institution’s President from 2020 to 2022. Gasparotti, who is a Technology and Innovation Mentor and member of SAE BRASIL’s Executive Council, takes over the position as of January 1, 2023.
“It is an honor to be able to contribute more intensely to the purpose of SAE Brazil, especially at this time when the imperative of sustainability is driving the transformations that the mobility industry is going through. We are committed to building a collaborative, multi-sectorial ecosystem that is inspirational to new generations, in order to arouse interest in deepening knowledge in this sector that is full of challenges and opportunities,” said Gasparotti.
With a degree in Civil Engineering from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), Gasparotti was part of the first specialization class in aeronautical engineering at Embraer, the PEE, held in partnership with the Aeronautical Technological Institute (ITA), and also holds a Professional MBA in Advanced Business Management from Faculdade Armando Álvares Penteado – FAAP. He has more than 20 years of experience in the aeronautical industry, with intense activity in the area of science, technology, and innovation.
Along with the appointment of the new president, the renewal of SAE’s Executive and Superior Councils for the 2023-2024 biennium will also take place. These councilors are composed of collaborators who work in companies and institutions in the mobility area.

Along with the announcement of its new board of directors, SAE BRAZIL also informed that the President of the 30th SAE BRAZIL International Congress and Exposition of Mobility Technology, which will take place in 2023, will be Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Embraer.
Graduated in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Business Administration and an MBA in Controlling and Finance, Francisco Gomes Neto developed a career in the automotive industry in CEO positions over two decades in Brazil and in the United States. Before Embraer, he served as CEO of the Marcopolo group, CEO Americas of the German company Mann+Hummel, and president of Knorr Bremse, among others.

It is a favorable environment for leadership meetings and important debates that seek proposed solutions to the real challenges of the sector.
