AKAER presents portfolio at Brazilian Defense DayAKAER presents portfolio at Brazilian Defense Day

AKAER participated last Wednesday (9) in the Brazilian Defense Day – Embassies, an event promoted in Brasilia by the Ministry of Defense with the aim of presenting the potential of the country’s Defense and Security Industry to representatives of more than 40 nations.

The company held a presentation for attachés and ambassadors exposing its broad portfolio, consisting of technologies for civil and military aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), armored ground vehicles, satellite cameras and missile subsystems.

“Brazilian Defense Day is an extremely important event for our cluster. It allows direct contact with representatives from various countries, generating new business opportunities. In addition, it also allows a great interaction between the companies themselves, opening space for strategic partnerships”, highlighted AKAER’s Vice President of Business and Sales, Aldo da Silva Junior.

Innovation

AKAER has stood out on the global stage with new products and partnerships with foreign companies to develop solutions in the Aerospace and Defense areas.

One of the recent launches was the new family of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), including Albatross and Osprey, which are at different stages of development and conceptual maturity.

AKAER was also responsible for the development of the 3UCAM camera integrated into the Brazilian VCUB satellite, launched in April. This is the first nanosatellite fully produced by a Brazilian company, Visiona Tecnologia Espacial.

In addition, AKAER leads the modernization process of the Brazilian Army’s Cascavel armored vehicle and is involved in the development of aeronautical and space solutions through an economic grant from FINEP (Financier of Studies and Projects) of the MCTI (Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation).

“Brazilian Defense Day brings the National Defense Industry closer to various markets. Nothing replaces this direct interaction”, said Business Executive Reinaldo Gonçalves.

The Brazilian Defense Day – Embassies is an initiative of the Ministry of Defense with the support of ABIMDE (Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials Industries), SIMDE (National Union of Defense Materials Industries) and the São José dos Campos Technology Park.
