In the last two days, satellite images have emerged that reveal the damage caused by the attacks on Belbek airfield, offering a detailed view of the impact.

This information was released by the Militarnyi website and shared on Radio Liberty’s Telegram channel on the evening of May 16, 2024.

The satellite images highlight several affected areas, presented in an animation that contrasts the photos “before” and “after” the attacks. At least four points of impact are visible: three in aircraft parking lots and one in a warehouse.

Before the large-scale attack, which took place between May 14 and 15, the facility was home to a Russian squadron of Su-27 fighters, a flight of Su-35 fighters and MiG-31 interceptors.

The images indicate that some of these planes were possibly damaged or destroyed. According to Russian sources in public offices, two MiG-31 interceptors, an S-400 anti-aircraft system and a warehouse with fuel and lubricants were damaged or destroyed. As for the S-400, there is a photo of the destroyed radar station, but the condition of the complex’s launcher remains uncertain.
