Embraer volunteers provide mentoring for career development in the aviation industry. The 6th Women in Aviation Meeting will also have Embraer’s support

The Embraer Institute and the Brazilian Association of Women Aviators (AMAB) have established a partnership for career mentoring for young women between 16 and 26 years old interested in the aviation industry. The “Accelerating Careers” initiative is part of the Embraer Institute’s Volunteer Program.

Embraer volunteers will hold online meetings for two months with young people from different parts of Brazil to discuss topics such as career planning, prioritization and time management, personal marketing and networking, presentation tools and job interview behavior. In 2022, more than 600 volunteers participated in the Volunteer Program, which impacted the lives of hundreds of young people in the five regions of the country.

“Contributing to the female representation in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics and driving young people in the search for professional achievement in the aeronautical environment, full of challenges, has been one of the priorities of the Embraer Institute,” explains André Tachard, director of the Embraer Institute.

6th Women in Aviation Meeting

In addition to the mentoring activity, the partnership also involves Embraer’s support to the 6th Women in Aviation Meeting, organized by Aviadoras, which will take place on March 4 and 5. The first day of the program will feature lectures and an environment that promotes networking at the Blue Tree Premium Faria Lima Hotel, in São Paulo. The following day, the meeting will be held at the Campo dos Amarais Airport, in Campinas.

This is the second consecutive year that the company collaborates with the event that brings together pilots, flight attendants, aircraft mechanics, engineers, among other professionals and students from various areas of aviation associated with the NGO.
