Embraer and Luxair, the airline of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, have signed a firm order for four E195-E2s, the most efficient single-aisle jet on the market. The Embraer jets will complement the fleet of larger narrowbody aircraft recently ordered by Luxair.

The Luxembourg-based airline ordered four E195-E2s, including two purchase options and three purchase rights for additional jets. The deal also includes conversion rights for the E190-E2, if requested by Luxair. The first delivery is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.

“We continue to work on the development and long-term future of our airline. These state-of-the-art jets are further proof of our commitment to sustainability and the comfort of our passengers. The E195-E2 is the quietest regional jet with the lowest fuel consumption and will therefore provide the flexibility we need in our air network. Our passengers will benefit from a spacious, quiet cabin and ample overhead luggage racks. The E195-E2 is the ideal jet for Luxair and for our passengers,” says Gilles Feith, CEO of Luxair.

“We are very pleased to have Luxair as an Embraer customer again, as the company has operated the ERJ-145 and EMB-120 in the past. The E2 is perfectly suited to Luxair’s operations and objectives, complementing Luxair’s current and future fleet and ensuring a high level of optimization of the fleet and its air network in the long term. With state-of-the-art technology, low noise and emissions, the E2 allows airlines to reconcile expansion and sustainability goals,” says Martyn Holmes, CCO of Embraer Commercial Aviation.
