Swedish AI-driven surveillance technology company intensifies operations in the region, hires managers for Brazil and Argentina and expects to grow between 30% and 50% with a focus on Public Safety, Transportation and Critical Infrastructure

Irisity AB, the global leader in AI-driven surveillance technology, announces that after starting operations in Colombia, Mexico and Chile last year, the company is now targeting South America and is stepping up operations in Brazil and Argentina with sales expected to grow by between 30 and 50% in the Latin countries.

In Brazil, the company has hired a commercial director (Leandro Miquinioty) to head up sales in the country and in Argentina it has made the same move, hiring Alejandro Reich as regional sales director. The CALA region (Caribbean and Latin America) is under the command of João Paulo Florentino, Vice President of Sales and Operations, who joined the company at the end of 2022.

The strategy for Brazil and Latin America will be to strengthen the Irisity brand, train local staff, promote partnerships with integrators, resellers and camera manufacturers and extend to these countries alliances already consolidated globally such as Hanwha, Axis, Intel, Google and video management system (VMS) companies, with the aim of maximizing video surveillance projects.

Customers in the Latin American region include the Vicente Lopez County in Argentina, the 911 emergency number in the Dominican Republic and the Securitas Group in the city of Montevideo, among others. The company’s target markets in the region are: Public Safety, Transportation (subways, highways, railroads, airports, etc.) and Critical Infrastructure (ports, energy companies, mining companies, etc.), as well as Smart Cities.

In Brazil and Argentina, the Agent Vi brand was well known in the Electronic Security market, as a pioneer in the development of AI-enabled video analysis solutions. In 2021, Irisity acquired Agent Vi and became one of the leading software providers in the region. Combined, the two companies have more than 30 years of experience in the field of video analytics with AI. Agent Vi’s video analytics technology became the basis of the IRIS+ platform, which today incorporates high-performance detection technology and provides AI-enabled alerts for tens of thousands of active cameras around the world.

“We are excited about our expansion in Latin America, with investments in video surveillance projects in Brazil and Argentina. In addition, the recent appointments of Leandro Miquinioty as sales manager for Brazil and Alejandro Reich as regional sales director for Argentina will strengthen our sales force in these countries. Both executives bring solid experience in Sales and know the Electronic Security segment very well”, comments João Paulo Florentino, Vice President of Sales and Operations for CALA (Caribbean and Latin America) at Irisity.
