Ground forces can rely on a wide range of Saab solutions to increase their operational capacity, whether protecting themselves or attacking.

Through a partnership between the Saab Barracuda business unit and the American Oshkosh Defense, Saab is demonstrating the possibility of integrating the RBS 70 NG Mobile Firing Unit (MFU) with the Mobile Camouflage System (MCS) in a Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV).

Saab’s Multispectral Mobile Camouflage System conceals the vehicle, making it difficult for troops to be detected even by aerial observation sensors, while allowing the vehicle to be used quickly against possible aerial targets.

When it comes to providing multi-spectral camouflage for “static objects”, such as fixed installations, stationary vehicles or even troops in a meeting, Saab’s solution is the Ultra Light Camouflage System (ULCAS).

Camouflage is an extremely effective form of protection in combat, making it difficult for the enemy to access information such as the location and value of the troops. It makes it possible to surprise the enemy and take the initiative.

“We now have the most modern mobile air defense solution, which perfectly combines our existing multispectral camouflage capabilities in a combat vehicle. We are ready to supply it to existing customers as well as new users,” said Görgen Johansson, head of Saab’s Dynamics business area.

In addition to camouflage, Saab offers the MSHORAD solution for vehicle integration, which uses the RBS 70 NG Shooting Unit. Saab presented a version of MSHORAD in Brazil at the beginning of the year, integrated with the VBC 6×6 MSR Guarani.
